Do you need to work out on holiday? Probably not.
Your holiday should be about exploring, eating good food, relaxing and making memories, not stressing about missing a few workouts.
That said, if you enjoy training or you're going away for more than a couple of weeks, a few short workouts can be a great way to stay active without taking over your trip.
So I've put together three simple workouts you can do almost anywhere, with little to no equipment. They're short enough to squeeze into a busy travel day and challenging enough to keep you moving while you're away.
No gym? No problem. No excuses? Maybe. 😉
Holiday workout 1: Cindy AMRAP
This workout is a classic CrossFit bodyweight workout. All you need is a pull up bar.
AMRAP stands for As Many Rounds As Possible.
Set a timer for 20 minutes and complete as many rounds of:
5 pull ups
10 push ups
15 bodyweight squats
You can pace yourself and take breaks whenever you want. Your goal is to get more rounds in each time to do this workout.

Holiday workout 2: Run - plank combo
Find an area where you can run in a loop. Parks, beaches and calm neighbourhoods are ideal.
Find a loop that takes you roughly a minute to run.
Repeat 6-10 rounds of:
45s-60s run
1 min plank
The plank serves as a break from the run. If you find a 400m running track, you've hit the
jackpot for this one.

Holiday workout 3: abs mania
This ab workout can be done anywhere, anytime and will deliciously burn your core.
Do each of the following for 30 seconds each, without taking a break between exercises.
Sit ups
Leg raises
Bicycle crunches
Thread the needle plank, 30s on each side
Mountain climbers
Plank
Rest for a minute after you've completed these, and repeat for 3-4 rounds.

The key with holiday workouts is to keep them short so they don't interfere with your plans. They should also be easily doable anywhere, so you don't have to find a gym and spend time going there.
Happy Holidays!
Clem
