best youtube workouts so far
I started putting workouts on Youtube last December and it's been a lot of fun. It took me a while to figure out the style of editing I wanted to do and also how to organize the whole process. I won't bore you with all the details, so here are 4 of my favourite ones to date.
15 minutes full body workout
This one is very fun, you only do each exercises twice and it targets the whole body. You'll do most of the moves for 30 seconds and have a little wall sit at the end of the workout to finish it off
How to progress this workout
There are two ways you can progress this workout.
By using heavier weights. If you have different types of weights at home, you can start of with some dumbbells that feel relatively easy. The next time you do the workout, try slightly heavier dumbbells. Once those start to feel too easy, move on to the next set (This could take weeks). Always make sure you can to each rep with proper form.
Doing more reps. If you only have one pair of dumbbells, try to do more reps during the allotted time period. You'll be doing more work, which will be tougher on your muscles. Because you will focus on moving faster, always make sure that you are performing each rep properly. Do not sacrifice form for speed.
10 minutes mobility
A short mobility session for your hips and back. This one felt great to film and feels great every time I do it again.
10 minutes arm workout
A quick arm workout you can do from home or at the end of your gym session. You'll feel both biceps and triceps during this one.
How to progress this workout
Similarly to the first workout, you can either chose to go for heavier weights or to do more reps. If you are doing more reps, it might be better to do each more for a bit longer rather than going faster. For this type of workout, you won't be able to get super fast because we are really controlling each rep. You may be able to squeeze an extra 2-3 reps after a few tries, but after that, do each move for 40 seconds instead of 30 when you can.
The plank challenge
This one burned the whole time, I honestly didn't think I'd make it to 10 minutes. Give a shot and see how far you can go!
Let me know what kind of workouts you would like to see more of and I'll get working on them.
Happy training,
